JUNE 2021 – The Developmental Reading Series. One of the most important parts of the Fresh Fruit mission. Curated LGBT plays in the early stages of development presented in “Town Hall” style, online, with audience Q & A.

October 11, 2021 – The annual LGBT Slam Poetry event & contest. Always a lively contribution to National Coming Out day. And with cash prizes!

November 18, 2019 – The FRUITIE AWARDS! The best of the July 2019 Festival, plus community leaders, honored at a gala celebration at Bowery Arts & Science. Reception 6:30 pm. Show starts 7:00 pm.

MARCH 22: Virgo by Éamon Boylan
Virgo explores the binaries of queer intimacy, as one trans artist struggles to overcome their fear of penetration. What does it mean to give yourself or receive another? Reconciling childhood nostalgia, the music of John Adams, and astrology, this play asks audiences to generously listen, to receptively remember.
MARCH 29: The Cantor’s Tale by Fengar Gael
The repression of latent sexual desires drives a priest to wreak havoc in the lives of a renegade seminarian and his fiancee.
APRIL 4: Who’s There? by Owen Panettieri
