SUBMISSIONS OPENING for Full-Length Plays, Mainstage 2025
All Out Arts is accepting submissions of Full Length subjects for the 23rd Festival year of New York City’s multidisciplinary festival of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer arts and culture since 2002. The festival will occur over two weeks in early Spring in an Equity Approved venue. Thanks to the generosity of New York City’s Department of Cultural Affairs and the New York City Council, there are no submission fees and no required performance fees!

The All Out Arts goal is to present a broad spectrum of LGBTQ lives as expressed through new Theatre, Video,  Graphic Arts, Music & various other forms of artistic expression over our many program divisions. Submissions in all artistic disciplines are considered for presentation as long as they highlight or showcase the LGBTQ experience. The Mainstage division requires LOCALLY PRODUCED & finished, self-produced shows, with no staged productions within 8 months.

The staged theatre Festival provides: AEA-approved & insured performance venues; basic marketing assistance; ticketing service; professional theater staff (logistics manager; lighting or sound technician; front of house); repertory lighting plot plus sound & video system; networking events; Free box-office shares; & more! Shows have access to highly-discounted rehearsal spaces, our account with Materials For the Arts, our royalty-free sound FX collection, a Private Facebook Group and shared set pieces.

  • Submissions are OPEN: Monday December 2, 2024
  • Deadline for Full-Lengths & Musicals: January 15th, 2025
  • Deadline for Small-cast Shows & 1-Act Plays: February 3rd, 2025

Note: Early submissions get far more attention from our readers and production staff. Do Not Wait! Early acceptances will be sent out starting early January.

If you are applying from out-of-town: (15+ miles from New York City limits), you MUST include a note about how you intend to produce your show locally (all casting, crew, a local producer & local publicity firm). You may use a part of the “Performance History” section of the form. All shows must be locally produced in New York City, Proof of crew + casting calls, press agent, rehearsals, etc. will be required. and no ‘touring shows’ allowed (blackout dates for other productions of the submitted show: 8 months prior and 3 months following, except by written permission.)

APPLY: The application form must be completed entirely on-line, so we suggest you download a sample form [ HERE ] to prepare most answers in advance. On the real application form, most spaces will expand as you type, and you will be able to upload files as .PDF .RTF .TXT or .DOC files, or simply provide tested links.
